The Windsor belongs in Bearwood like Warley Woods. Over the years, it has changed from cinema, to ice rink, to theatre to snooker hall. Over the past 18 months, the team up at the Windsor have worked tirelessly to restore the venue and the Theatre Bar and the Green Room at the Windsor is proof what can happen when you apply passion, determination and a belief that this venue could be something outstanding. Paul and his crew have introduced live music, tapas, a good selection of beverages and much more. You can also hire space for your own parties, which is always worth remembering.
This Saturday the Windsor team will be serving outside Chorizo Burgers, Sweet Chicken and paella. From 2.30 they have a charity all day music event – entry is £2.50 for a whole afternoon and evening of music. Acts such as Tom Greenhalgh,Charlotte Young , Colin Hall, John Langford, Chris Hewitt , Jamie McCluskey & Unchanged, it promises to be a really good evening, so you can just party on all night. And even better: No need for a taxi as you can just walk home. It’s important to support venues like the Windsor, especially when we constantly hear about venues closing. Let’s keep this one, folks.
